David
B. Lowen, CPA
President
David is
the President and the shareholder responsible for Tax
Practice and Estate Planning. He studied at James Madison
University where he earned a B.S. in Accounting with high
honors.
As the firm's specialist in tax, estate and
trust matters, his knowledge also includes the accounting,
auditing, and taxation of construction companies, non-profit
organizations, manufacturers, and franchise operations.
David has taught accounting courses for Roanoke City
Schools and lectured to various civic groups. He is an
active member of the American Institute of Certified Public
Accountants and the Virginia Society of CPAs (VSCPA). He has
held positions as Vice President and as a board member for
the VSCPA as well as serving as president, vice president,
and secretary-treasurer for the Roanoke Area Chapter of
VSCPA.
David is a former member of the Salem Lions
Club and has been the president, vice-president, and
treasurer. He has been involved with Roanoke's Festival in
the Park as both treasurer and board member.
David is
also recognized by his peers as an outstanding accountant,
having been voted in Virginia Business Magazine as one of
its "Super CPA's" in both Individual Tax and Estate
Planning and Trust categories. He has also been voted "Best
Local CPA" by the readers of the Roanoker magazine. |
